The latest and best materials are used to
provide long lasting safe fillings.
We use composite and porcelain for white
fillings. Gold for metal fillings.
We do not use amalgam because of the
toxic effects of mercury.
Crowns and bridges are advanced
restorations that aim to replace badly
damaged or missing teeth. Cosmetic correction of
unsightly teeth can also be achieved.
Missing teeth can be replaced with removable
dentures. These can either be acrylic based
(plastic), metallic or nylon based flexible denture
called Valplast.
Valplast is a thermoplastic nylon with excellent
elastic memory and outstanding aesthetic qualities.
The unique translucency of the material allows the patients
natural tissue tone to show through, making Valplast
virtually invisible to the untrained
eye. The strength and durability of Valplast is unmatched.
Your teeth are meant to last a lifetime.
Even if one of your teeth becomes injured or diseased,
it often can be saved through root canal (endodontic)
therapy. Root canal therapy is required when
the dental pulp becomes damaged. The dental pulp is
the soft core inside the tooth that contains blood vessels
and nerves. When the pulp is diseased or injured and
can't repair itself it dies. This allows bacteria to
cause an infection inside the tooth. Eventually pus
will build up around the root tip and form an abscess
in the jaw bone. Treatment involves one to three visits,
during which the pulp chamber and the root canals are
cleaned and sealed.

95% of the British population have active
gum disease and are not aware of it. Gum disease
is entirely preventable. We will help you take control
and cure this dental disease.
What to look out for:
Gums that have come away from the teeth
Pus between the teeth and gums
Persistent bad breath or bad taste
Permanent teeth that are loose or have moved
Gum disease starts when a thin soft film
of bacteria (called plaque) sticks to the teeth.
If not cleaned away it will produce poisons that make
the gums red, swollen and bleed. If left untreated the
plaque will become hard (tartar) and difficult
to remove. Eventually the bone that holds the teeth
in will start to disappear and the teeth may be lost.

Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt
into your mouth. They come through in the late teens
or even later. Quite often there isn't enough room for
them and this can cause problems like persistent gum
infections. In these cases they may need to be extracted.
We are able to carry out all forms of wisdom
tooth removal in a comfortable, safe and caring environment.
Many people experience problems which occur
as a result of an incorrect bite (occlusion).
This can cause a variety of problems:
Clicking or grating noises when you move your jaw
Difficulty opening and closing your mouth
Pain in the face, neck and shoulders
Headaches and migraines
To treat these problems we carefully
analyse the way your teeth meet together when
you close your mouth, and from this information we can
use a variety of treatments to help
you. Sometimes the solution to a persistent painful
problem can be quite simple.
